Hard ride but capitalised on reduced mark at Doncaster in November. Second at Fakenham next time bit showed his tricky side by hanging badly left. Ran poorly at Ffos Las latest.
Unreliable type who has been struggling for form lately but his mark has come down a long way and he's worth keeping an eye on in the betting back after a short break.
Winner over fences at Ludlow in autumn 2020 but below-par fifth on completed start since returning from 14-month lay-off. First-time visor replaces the cheekpieces/blinkers worn previously this term.
Fair hurdle winner for Oliver Sherwood. Has reached the frame in a pair of handicap chases for new yard and being dropped another 3 lb can only help. In the mix.
Inconsistent operator over hurdles and didn't jump with enough fluency to make an impact on chasing debut at Taunton 30 days ago. Could improve from that, but hard to place maximum faith in.
Hurdle winner last summer and placed three times over fences this winter. Stamina possibly stretched by 3m on heavy at Exeter latest and treated as if still in form. Stable won this last year.
Promising third in a Hereford bumper last season. Has failed to build on that in 2m hurdles but wouldn't be a shock to see him fare better now handicap chasing over much longer trip after a wind op.
Point winner. Only modest form under Rules but he has been placed in handicap chases on his last 3 starts. Likely to be competitive again.
Poor maiden handicapper hurdler at up to 3m in Ireland. Has started out for his new stable with 2 in-frame efforts in handicap chases and this step back up in trip could suit him.
Poor form over hurdles and no impact in handicap chases on his last 2 outings.
Ended 2019 on a high, bagging a pair of handicap hurdles. However, lightly raced and struggled for form since, never threatening when third over fences last 2 starts. Cheekpieces need to help him.
Poor maiden who hasn't shown enough in chases/hurdles this term to think he'll be breaking his duck here from 5 lb out of the handicap.

Sean Curran won this in 2021 and GIVE US A SWIG could prove the answer to this year's renewal. He likely found heavy going taxing his stamina last time and can bounce back under ground conditions which should be similar to those he won a hurdle on last July. Earcomesbob and Paseo are capable of getting involved, while Arbennig is worth keeping an eye on in the market on chase/handicap debut.
