Ambion Hill²⁴

Age: 7| Weight: 11-12| J: Brendan Powell| T: C L Tizzard| OR: 98

7/4

Plenty of good efforts over hurdles, and immediately upped his game when second on chasing bow at Ludlow. Has failed to kick on though, faltering when push came to shove at Warwick last time.

Form: 33-42F3

Doyannie^h²⁷

Age: 8| Weight: 11-9| J: Lorcan Williams| T: Jack Barber| OR: 95

10/3

Maiden hurdler who was all the better for chase bow/return when second at Exeter in January. Similar form when third next start and she may have more to offer in this sphere now dropped back in trip.

Form: 653-423

Folly Gate^t²⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 11-8| J: Chester Williams⁽³⁾| T: Mrs J Williams| OR: 94

7/2

Holding his form well on the face of it, briefly promising more than he delivered before fading into third at Ludlow last month. Should give his running once again but may find a couple too strong.

Form: 424253

Eros^t¹⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 11-7| J: Ben Godfrey⁽³⁾| T: K Woollacott| OR: 93

16/5

Yet to score but arrives in good nick, finishing in the frame in handicaps chases on last 5 outings, coming clear with an unexposed/in-form sort at this track last time. A repeat puts him bang there.

Form: 533342

Forget You Not^t¹²⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 10-11| J: James Best| T: Miss J Du Plessis| OR: 83

18/1

Opened his account at Exeter in October but pulled up in Worcester handicap on his only run since. Has a bit to prove after his break.

Form: PP8-71P

Stinggrey^p1⁷⁹

Age: 9| Weight: 10-0| J: David Noonan| T: M Young| OR: 69

80/1

Failed to complete on 2 of his 3 starts between the flags and well beaten in 3 starts over hurdles. Cheekpieces applied for chase bow but easy to look elsewhere.

Form: UF7/408

Non-Runners

Candyman Can²⁵²

Weight: 10-6| Age: 12

T: L Hurley J: Non Runner

Forecasts

Ambion Hill (7/4), Eros (16/5), Doyannie (10/3), Folly Gate (7/2), Candyman Can (11/2), Forget You Not (18/1), Stinggrey (80/1)

DOYANNIE has made a promising start over fences and with this drop back in trip looking the way to go, she gets the vote to open her account. Eros is running consistently well without getting his head in front so he's fancied to give the selection most to think about, with Folly Gate completing the shortlist.
