Wor Bella Handicap Hurdle (Div 2)

Off time: 17:45 | Winning time: 6m 21.73s

Khamsin Moor³⁶¹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-8| J: Theo Gillard⁽³⁾| T: D McCain Jnr| OR: 95

11/1

Well held sole outing in bumpers. Modest form at best in a trio of hurdling outings and has lengthy absence to overcome, but longer trip should play to his strengths on handicap debut.

Form: 4935-

The Black Squirrel^p,t¹⁶

Age: 9| Weight: 11-8| J: Jamie Hamilton| T: H Hogarth| OR: 95

22/1

Modest handicap hurdler who went with no encouragement (pulled up) returning from a year-long absence at Catterick 16 days ago. Hard to make a case for.

Form: 0614P-P

Loch Linnhe^p²¹

Age: 10| Weight: 11-5| J: Tom Midgley⁽⁵⁾| T: G Boanas| OR: 92| C

9/2

Lightly raced and no great encouragement since landing a handicap chase at Southwell (3m) in spring 2019, so plenty to prove returning to the smaller obstacles.

Form: 381/93-5

Your Place^p³⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 10-12| J: D R Fox| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell| OR: 85

5/6

Still a maiden, but appears to be coming to the boil, finding only one too good in 13-runner event at Ayr a month ago. Should be thereabouts again.

Form: 0-P4652

West Lawn²⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 10-10| J: Harry Reed| T: J Walton| OR: 83

9/1

Has a stout pedigree so, despite offering little to this point, looks the type to show more now handicapping up in trip. Not discounted.

Form: 6594

Our Cilla^b²⁴⁷

Age: 8| Weight: 10-0| J: J Kington| T: A Crook| OR: 73

12/1

Poor maiden handicap hurdler who was well held when last seen at Southwell 8 months ago. Others preferred.

Form: 0PP28-9

Kilcaragh Boy^t³⁷

Age: 13| Weight: 10-0| J: Philip Armson⁽⁷⁾| T: R J Armson| OR: 68| C

13/2

Limited sort who performed as well as could have been expected when third at Market Rasen 37 days ago. Out of the weights once more, and he's an infrequent winner.

Form: 537063

Forecasts

Your Place (5/6), Onestepatatime (5/2), Loch Linnhe (9/2), Bobbie The Dazzler (9/2), Kilcaragh Boy (13/2), West Lawn (9/1), Ryedale Racer (10/1), Khamsin Moor (11/1), Our Cilla (12/1), The Black Squirrel (22/1), Nordic Express (150/1)

BOBBIE THE DAZZLER was a long way out of the weights when making a winning stable debut at Sedgefield recently, meaning that she can now race from a 3-lb lower mark under a penalty, so she's worth a chance to follow up. Onestepatatime was just edged out late at the same course 3 weeks ago and is open to further progress, so she's regarded as the main threat ahead of Your Place.
