Stanley Pincombe²⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 11-11| J: Freddie Gordon⁽⁵⁾| T: C Gordon| OR: 101

6/1

Promise in a couple of maiden/novice hurdles but it was rather laboured when left in a place last on handicap debut at Lingfield (2m) in February. However, only a 5-y-o and it remains early days.

Form: 3-49343

Applesandpierres^p,v³⁴

Age: 14| Weight: 11-8| J: Roisin Leech⁽⁵⁾| T: Mrs S Leech| OR: 98| D

12/1

Latest win in France summer in 2020. This veteran isn't the same force these days but recent exploits respectable, left with a lot to do when midfield in 15-runner Fontwell handicap last month.

Form: FP4337

Rock On Tommy^p,t¹⁰¹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-5| J: Fergus Gregory| T: O Murphy| OR: 95| D

5/1

Eased 9 lb from initial mark and coped well with the drop in trip when clearing away to land a Leicester novices' handicap (15.5f) in December. Third has boosted the form since. Claims.

Form: 636451

Admiral Balko^b1,t⁶⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 11-2| J: Chester Williams| T: Mrs J Williams| OR: 92WS

9/2

Made winning handicap hurdle debut at Wincanton (19.7f) 12 months ago. However, not kicked on from chase debut promise in 2 subsequent starts over larger obstacles. Blinkers fitted on back of wind op.

Form: 31-84PP

Ladi Chala⁴³

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: Thomas Doggrell| T: Mrs F Kehoe| OR: 88

80/1

Modest maiden on Flat in France and hard to warm to judged on exploits for stuart Edmunds/this yard more recently.

Form: 64-9P

Amlovi²⁷

Age: 9| Weight: 10-0| J: Jack Tudor| T: A Wintle| OR: 72| D

11/1

Hurdles winner during early 2020 who arrives in reasonable heart, midfield in a class 5 handicap at Plumpton (15.9f) 4 weeks ago. Still, operating from 4 lb out of weights and others preferred.

Form: FP-P446

Forecasts

Pilsdon Pen (11/10), Admiral Balko (9/2), Rock On Tommy (5/1), Stanley Pincombe (6/1), Amlovi (11/1), Applesandpierres (12/1), Ladi Chala (80/1)

PILSDON PEN has proved to be a different proposition in handicaps, impressing in making it 2 wins from his last 3 starts at Huntingdon last month, and he can defy another rise in the weights and come out on top again. December's Leicester scorer Rock On Tommy and lightly-raced Stanley Pincombe are others to consider.
