Fairly encouraging start over hurdles at Perth in September (in third place when falling at the last). Well held both starts since, but may be seen in a better light now handicapping. Blinkers added.

Yet to win a race of any description, but has made the frame in handicaps off higher marks over C&D and at Uttoxeter this season. Claims back in this sphere following an unsuccessful spin over fences.

Off the mark when making all in first-time cheekpieces over C&D in January. However, failed by a long chalk to back that effort up off this 4 lb higher mark at Carlisle recently.

By no means disgraced when third over 21.f here on penultimate start, but efforts either side of that have been woeful.

Winner of second of his 2 starts in maiden points. Yet to make an impact under Rules, though his C&D effort in November was respectable and interesting to see if support arrives on debut for new yard.

Has performed fairly well in handicaps off higher marks at Uttoxeter and Carlisle the last twice, but this 6-y-o will need to find some improvement if he's to get off the mark here.

Signed off last season by hitting the crossbar in a big-field handicap over 21.4f at this course. Has failed to match that form so far this time round, but his mark is on the slide.

Yet to make a meaningful impact over hurdles, but he's now 10 lb lower than for his fair reappearance effort at Catterick and will have a chance here if the first-time tongue strap does the trick.

Forecasts

Hidden Commander (6/4), Oot Ma Way (9/4), Lusitanien (9/2), Paddy The Panda (9/2), The Electrician (8/1), Cellar Vie (10/1), Atlantic Dancer (14/1), Ugo Du Misselot (14/1), Memors (14/1), Hector Master (25/1)

Verdict

In a race devoid of a standout candidate, a chance is taken on HECTOR MASTER, who has been handed what looks a feasible mark for this handicap debut. Oot Ma Way appeared to have matters under control when exiting at the final flight at Carlisle on Thursday and will be a threat if going to post, but Ugo Du Misselot is feared most back in this sphere. The Electrician is worth a second look, too.
