Tonto's Spirit²⁰

Age: 10| Weight: 11-10| J: C O'Farrell| T: Mrs Dianne Sayer| OR: 127| C

14/1

Enjoyed a good summer at Cartmel, adding third chase success to his tally over extended 17f in August. However he's failed to beat a rival on his last 2 outings, making return over timber last month.

Manwell^t³⁹

Age: 12| Weight: 11-4| J: Jonathan England| T: S England| OR: 121| CD

11/2

C&D winner on return last season and capitalised on a falling mark in a fairly uncompetitive affair at Catterick just under 6 weeks ago. Has flattered to deceive, but he's likely to be popular again.

Form: R2-43P1

The Paddy Pie²⁰

Age: 9| Weight: 11-0| J: Ryan Mania| T: J Parkinson & S Smith| OR: 117| C

13/8

Winless for 2 years, but handicapper has reacted accordingly and his recent Wetherby near-miss was a solid effort. Seemed unsuited by emphasis on stamina last time and this trip is more suitable.

Form: 23-3423

Dalyotin^p⁵²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Nathan Moscrop| T: R Menzies| OR: 117

85/40

Fairly useful hurdler/chaser in France, winning twice over fences. Well held on yard debut but much more like it when fourth at Catterick 52 days ago. Reverts to fences with yard in flying form.

Form: 2F3-204

Forecasts

The Paddy Pie (13/8), Dalyotin (85/40), The King Of May (9/2), Manwell (11/2), Tonto's Spirit (14/1)

Manwell is sure to be popular having capitalised on a falling mark at Catterick last time but at the likely prices it could be worth chancing DALYOTIN. Rebecca Menzies is enjoying somewhat of a purple patch and, returning over the larger obstacles/back down to a more suitable trip, he gets the verdict. The aforementioned Manwell heads the dangers if he's in the same mood, ahead of The Paddy Pie.
