Big Difference⁶⁷

Age: 9| Weight: 11-12| J: Luca Morgan⁽³⁾| T: B Pauling| OR: 107

6/1

Below par both starts over fences this season, but would be dangerous off this reduced mark if the return to hurdles (successful on latest start in this sphere in March 2019) helps reignite his spark.

Steady Away²³

Age: 8| Weight: 11-10| J: James Bowen| T: Nicky Martin| OR: 105

7/2

Bits and pieces of decent form to his name over hurdles and now able to compete off a career-low mark. However, he was safely held at Market Rasen last time and is now 0-13 in this sphere.

Trixster^t²¹

Age: 9| Weight: 11-7| J: Charlie Price⁽³⁾| T: Tim Vaughan| OR: 102| D

4/1

Creditable third over C&D in December, but otherwise well below par this season and you have to go back to January 2019 for when he last hit the target.

Form: 6-80737

Money Spinner^h²⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 10-9| J: T J O'Brien| T: P Hobbs & J White| OR: 90

6/5

Failed to get competitive in maiden/novice hurdles, but firm step in the right direction when third of 11 upped to 23f on handicap debut at Bangor. Hood refitted and he's high on the shortlist.

Shanroe Tic Tec^p⁴⁸

Age: 10| Weight: 10-7| J: Conor Ring⁽³⁾| T: G Harris| OR: 88

14/1

Several creditable efforts in 2021, but it's been a low-key start for new yard this season and arrives here on a 23-race losing run.

Forecasts

Money Spinner (6/5), Smoking Pigeon (3/1), Steady Away (7/2), Trixster (4/1), Rideau Canal (4/1), Big Difference (6/1), Investment Manager (6/1), Shanroe Tic Tec (14/1)

The vote goes to RIDEAU CANAL, who has contested some pretty decent maiden/novice hurdles and improvement should be forthcoming now that he makes the switch to handicap company off what may prove to be a handy opening mark. Money Spinner is an obvious threat on the back of his improved effort at Bangor, form which has been franked since, and Big Difference is also considered back in this sphere.
