Ubetya¹⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 11-7| J: Harry Cobden| T: P F Nicholls| OR: 132| BF

10/3

Fairly useful form when winning 2m maiden hurdle in January 2020. Better form over fences to end that year and shaped encouragingly on yard bow/reappearance at Plumpton recently. Yard in better nick.

Form: 214/23-2

Champagne Court^p,t²⁷

Age: 9| Weight: 11-4| J: Lorcan Williams| T: J Scott| OR: 129| BF| D

11/4

Useful chaser who built on a couple of solid placed efforts over timber to win his first race for over 2 years at Exeter in December. Runner-up the last twice (over timber latest) and sure to go well.

Form: 323122

Valleres^p⁶³

Age: 7| Weight: 11-3| J: James Bowen| T: A King| OR: 128| D

9/2

Irish point winner who won twice from 5 starts over hurdles last term. Has finished third on all 3 starts over fences and cheekpieces seemed to have a positive effect last time. Player dropped 3 lb.

Form: 221-333

Flagrant Delitiep¹¹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-2| J: Stan Sheppard| T: R Walford| OR: 127| BF| CD

2/1

C&D winner who looks back somewhere near the top of his game, filling the runner-up spot on his last 2 starts over C&D. Nudged up a couple of pounds and should be in the mix once again.

Form: 2-56P22

Realm Keeper³⁴

Age: 9| Weight: 11-0| J: Charlie Deutsch| T: Miss V Williams| OR: 125| D

11/1

Fairly useful ex-French chaser who landed a quick double last March. Ran no sort of race after 10 months off (had breathing operation in interim) and this run should reveal what ability remains.

Form: P4110-5

Forecasts

Flagrant Delitiep (2/1), Champagne Court (11/4), Ubetya (10/3), Valleres (9/2), Realm Keeper (11/1)

Cases can be made for all of these but the most compelling one is for VALLERES, who got firmly back on track sporting first-time cheekpieces when third at Newbury prior to the turn of the year. Having been dropped 3 lb for that effort, Alan King's charge is taken to come out on top. Champagne Court rarely runs a bad race so he's expected so go close, with Flagrant Delitiep next on the list.
