Gentle Fire³³

Age: 6| Weight: 11-7| J: Danny Burton⁽⁵⁾| T: S Drinkwater| D

Perfect start when landing a bumper at Lingfield in December. Held up in a steadily-run race back there under a penalty last month so that run can be forgiven.

Form: 18

Flora Paget

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Chris Ward⁽⁵⁾| T: Sarah Hollinshead

Form:

Lone Star^t1³⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: T J O'Brien| T: P Hobbs & J White| BF

14/1

Had a breathing op prior to debut and showed plenty to work on when fourth of 9 in bumper at Taunton (16.5f, good to soft, 11/4) last month. Tongue tie now reached for.

Form: 4

Lutinebella¹¹²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien

11/8

Progressive form in bumpers finishing runner-up for the second time in a big-field C&D contest in November. That form puts her right in the mix.

Form: 4-22

Ottoline

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Charlie Deutsch| T: Miss V Williams

15/2

Kayf Tara mare. Sister to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Yalltari. Dam (b70) lightly raced in bumpers. Newcomers from yard often fancied.

Form:

Prosopagnosia⁴⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: W T Kennedy| T: S-J DaviesWS

200/1

No impact in bumpers 9 months apart and he's since had a wind operation.

Form: 7-0

Spitfire Girl¹⁰⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: G Sheehan| T: Jamie Snowden

8/1

Related to three winners and improved from debut when runner-up at Fontwell in October. Brushed aside pretty readily in a deeper race at Ffos Las a month later.

Form: 2-20

Bonnet¹⁰⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 10-2| J: M Goldstein| T: George Baker

12/1

Half-sister to a couple of winners and made a promising start when runner-up at Exeter in October. Not in the same form a month later but given a break and she's of interest.

Form: 24

Fallingforadancer

Age: 4| Weight: 10-2| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: J Candlish

20/1

Half-sister to a point winner. Dam, 17f hurdle winner, sister to useful chaser (stayed 4m) Out The Black and fairly useful chaser (stayed 19f) Instant Impacked.

Bel Fondo

Weight: 10-2| Age: 4

Forecasts

Lutinebella (11/8), Morning Symphony (7/2), Ottoline (15/2), Spitfire Girl (8/1), Gentle Fire (10/1), Magheroarty Star (10/1), Bel Fondo (11/1), Bonnet (12/1), Lone Star (14/1), Fallingforadancer (20/1), Flora Paget (40/1), Prosopagnosia (200/1)

There's depth to this but the suggestion is LUTHINEBELLA given she progressed again when runner-up in a big-field C&D contest that worked out well when last seen in the autumn. Bonnet is a major contender on her debut run while Ottoline starts out with her yard going great guns.
