Hesque De L'isle⁵⁹

9/2

Has shown ability in a bumper and 2 hurdles this season but is possibly more one for handicaps after this.

Form: 855

Hunky¹⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Jack Andrews⁽⁵⁾| T: Mrs Caroline Bailey

28/1

Related to numerous winners. Third in a course bumper in January but well held on Doncaster hurdle debut a fortnight ago. Will need to leave that run well behind.

Form: 37

Land Of My Delight¹⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Kielan Woods| T: D J Jeffreys

200/1

Well held in novice hurdles at Wetherby and Ludlow in recent weeks.

Form: 00

Meetmelater⁸²

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Benjamin Poste| T: Mrs R Gasson

300/1

66/1, offered little on Chepstow bumper debut in December.

Form: 0

Quickbuck²⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: N de Boinville| T: N J Henderson

11/4

Placed on 2 of his 3 starts in bumpers. Shrugged aside a poor run on hurdle debut when runner-up over 20.5f at Plumpton 24 days ago. Back down in trip.

Form: 7-3292

Scudamore²⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Sean Quinlan| T: J Candlish

5/2

Fair AW Flat winner for Ivan Furtado. Similar form when third of 10 to Ridgeway on Doncaster hurdle debut in January. Should go well. Engaged 1.42 Doncaster Wednesday.

Form: 3

Spidersteve¹¹⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 11-0| J: Charlie Hammond| T: M Appleby

66/1

Well held in 2 bumpers a year apart. In good hands but doesn't strike as an obvious one to make a winning start over hurdles.

Form: 8-8

Uranus Des Bordes

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Brendan Powell| T: D G Bridgwater

8/1

Kapgarde half-brother to Kenne des Bordes. Dam, little impact over hurdles, half-sister to (15f-17f French hurdles winner) Gamine Royale. Betting should help guide to expectations.

Form:

Rio Silva¹²

Age: 5| Weight: 10-7| J: David England| T: O Murphy

33/1

In good hands but looks one for the longer term judged on early evidence.

Form: 466

At A Pinch^h1¹¹⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 10-0| J: J M Quinlan| T: Harry Eustace

3/1

Fairly useful 11f Flat winner for John & Thady Gosden. Starts out over hurdles at an ordinary level. Interesting runner.

Forecasts

Scudamore (5/2), Quickbuck (11/4), At A Pinch (3/1), Hesque De L'isle (9/2), Uranus Des Bordes (8/1), Hunky (28/1), Rio Silva (33/1), Spidersteve (66/1), Land Of My Delight (200/1), Meetmelater (300/1)

AT A PINCH reached quite a decent standard on the Flat so might be worth chancing to make a winning start over hurdles for new trainer Harry Eustace. Nicky Henderson's Quickbuck rates an obvious threat on the back of his Plumpton second, while Scudamore will be a major player if showing up here rather than Doncaster on Wednesday.
