Virgin Bet Open Hunters' Chase

Winner of handicap hurdles at Newbury and Cheltenham this season, and made it 2-3 in hunter chases when landing a 4-runner affair at Lingfield (23.5f, heavy) recently. The one to beat.

Ended last season on a downer, but was a smart handicap chaser in his pomp and interesting to see how he fares in the betting now pitched into a hunter for the first time on return/debut for new yard.

Form tailed off towards the end of last season and while he retains plenty of ability judged on his reappearance/hunter chase debut second at Musselburgh, he has work to do on these terms.

Positive start for current yard when landing a point earlier this month, but he's 0-9 over fences and faces an uphill task on these terms now making the switch to a hunter chase.

Hasn't won a race of any description for best part of 3 years and while he wasn't disgraced when chasing home the prolific Dubai Quest on recent hunter debut at Wetherby, others make greater appeal.
