Age: 5| Weight: 9-2| J: Christian Howarth⁽⁷⁾| T: T D Barron| OR: 60| D

5/2

Winner at Wolverhampton in November and followed up in Newcastle apprentice event (both 7f) last Friday. Escapes a penalty so every chance of hat-trick if in similar form.

Back From Dubai²¹

Age: 5| Weight: 9-0| J: P J McDonald| T: S R Bowring| OR: 58| C

Racked up a hat-trick of C&D wins last month. Further 3 lb rise unlikely to prevent him making a bold bid for the 4-timer.

Form: 867-111

10/1

Form: 6326-51

Forecasts

Viva Voce (5/2), Back From Dubai (11/4), Ginato (6/1), Love Your Work (6/1), Porfin (13/2), Always Dreaming (8/1), Morjhana (17/2), Bobby Joe Leg (10/1), Distinction (20/1), Dreamcasing (25/1), Shackabooah (28/1), Tommytwohoots (40/1)

This looks competitive for the grade. VIVA VOCE escapes a penalty for his Newcastle win a week ago so he gets the nod to complete a hat-trick but there are plenty of potential dangers, headed by Back From Dubai who is bidding for a course 4-timer. Love Your Work is another with recent winning course form, while Ginato shaped well at Newcastle last time and has Tom Marquand up.
