Thrived over fences since last spring, winning 4 times around 2½m on good ground. Stamina seemed stretched by 3m on soft at Kempton over Christmas but conditions should be less testing here.

Successful 4 times over hurdles this season but ran poorly switched to fences at Exeter 3 weeks ago. Clearly early days in this sphere but hard to fancy after that.

Landed 3 handicap hurdles in quick succession last season. Came good at third attempt over fences in C&D handicap in December and possibly stretched by stamina in Lincolnshire National since.

Career best when winning 5-runner handicap chase at Wetherby (3m) in November. Disappointed at Doncaster over Christmas but he's better than that and could bounce back.

Forecasts

Oscar Robertson (7/4), Powerstown Park (9/4), Kauto The King (9/2), On Call (9/2), Drumlee Watar (12/1)

Verdict

POWERSTOWN PARK returns to the scene of his win last month and might be worth another chance to show he's still on a workable mark as his stamina may have been stretched over 3½m in the Lincolnshire National at Market Rasen on Boxing Day. Oscar Robertson also needs to shrug off a below-par run but could provide the main threat if bouncing back to his Wetherby form.
