Fair maiden hurdler/chaser, although he wasn't at his best over fences at Worcester (23f) when last seen in November. The tongue tie he's worn on most starts is left off here.

Perth handicap hurdle winner over 2½m in April. Also a good third at Fakenham in October and better than the result when a remote fifth on his chase debut there on New Year's Day. Open to progress.

Modest form over hurdles but this former point winner has the potential for better now chasing for the first time. Interesting runner.

Winning pointer who struck at the second time of asking over fences when readily seeing off 10 rivals over 23f at Taunton 18 days ago. Even a 10 lb rise may not stop her.

Twice successful between the flags. Tongue tied first time, improved effort under Rules when landing C&D handicap on Boxing Day. That didn't take much winning so a 6 lb rise demands more.

Perhaps unsuited by very testing ground when pulled up at Wetherby on Boxing Day and placed in handicap hurdles prior to that. Contender if taking to fences for last year's winning yard. Tongue tied.

Poor hurdler but did open hs account at Southwell (3m) in May. Offered little switched to fences last 3 starts (remote third latest) and others are preferred again.

Forecasts

Thundersockssundae (7/2), Cardboard Gangster (7/2), Queen Of The Court (9/2), Maliboo (13/2), The Wise Traveller (13/2), Realms Of Fire (7/1), Alright Chief (17/2), Overtougeorge (100/1)

Verdict

QUEEN OF THE COURT had plenty to spare at Taunton so an 11 lb rise may not prevent her going in again. A point success at the start of The Wise Traveller's career marks him down as a possible improver now chasing so he's feared most ahead of Thundersockssundae who had a possible excuse at Wetherby last time and had been knocking on the door in handicap hurdles prior to that.

  1. QUEEN OF THE COURT (IRE)
  2. THE WISE TRAVELLER (IRE)
  3. THUNDERSOCKSSUNDAE (IRE)
