Perked up by headgear/step up in trip, readily capitalising on career-low mark to land Sussex National (28.4f) at Plumpton 3 weeks ago. 7 lb higher now but claims if headgear has desired effect again.

Forecasts

Go Whatever (7/2), Pemberley (9/2), Laskalin (6/1), Eclair Mag (9/1), Just Your Type (10/1), Fado Des Brosses (11/1), The Galloping Bear (12/1), Little Red Lion (16/1), Defuture Is Bright (20/1), Samuel Jackson (20/1), Echo Watt (33/1), Colonel Keating (33/1), Smooth Stepper (33/1), Exod'ela (33/1), Seaston Spirit (40/1)

Verdict

PEMBERLEY proved no match for re-opposing Go Whatever when the pair met in the Sussex National 3 weeks ago, yet the former meets his old adversary on 7 lb better terms on this occasion and that may be enough to swing the pendulum in the favour of Emma Lavelle's consistent 9-y-o. The latter-named is clearly a threat though, as are Little Red Lion, Laskalin and Fado des Brosses.

  1. PEMBERLEY (IRE)
  2. GO WHATEVER (IRE)
  3. LITTLE RED LION (IRE)
