Won all 3 completed starts in points and, having joined a top yard, made a positive start when third to Blazing Khal in a Cheltenham Grade 2 on hurdling bow. Can get off the mark in calmer waters.

Winning pointer who made a reasonable start under Rules when fourth in a novice hurdle at Plumpton 3 weeks ago. Looks a bit out of his depth in this, however.

Well-bred sort who made an encouraging albeit rather belated hurdling debut when third at Chepstow recently. Will need to improve if he's to figure in this, however.

No show over hurdles, but has looked an entirely different proposition over fences, making it 3-3 in emphatic fashion in a Ffos Las handicap in December. Surprising to see him back in this sphere.

Point (multiple)/bumper winner who made a pleasing hurdling/stable debut at Ayr and was running well prior to falling in the Challow at Newbury last time. Definite player.

BALLYGRIFINCOTTAGE was thrown in at the deep end making his Rules debut in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham, but acquitted himself well, so he's fancied to open his account in this lesser event. It's no doubt going to prove a strong novice however, and the Irish challenge from Fameaftertheglory should be a formidable one, while High Stakes isn't one to take lightly either.
