Made a winning start in Doncaster bumper and looked good when maintaining unbeaten record on hurdles bow at Hereford. Running well when falling 2 out at Huntingdon since. Big shout despite penalty.

Has merely hinted at ability in a bumper/maiden hurdles and is probably one for handicaps at longer trips.

£30,000 half-brother to 4 winners, including fairly useful hurdler Flag of Honour (2m winner). Unpromising start when sixth of 7 in novice hurdle at Sedgefield (16.8f, heavy, 22/1) 16 days ago.

Fairly useful in bumpers but ran to only a fair level on his first try hurdling when second in 9-runner novice at Hereford (16.2f) 71 days ago. Should do better.

Little impact in novice/maiden over hurdles, very much in need of experience.

Smart on the Flat. Failed to meet market expectations on hurdling debut at Market Rasen but stepped up on that when runner-up at Newbury. Strong claims of going one better.

€48,000 3-y-o Sholokhov gelding who looked a good prospect when making a winning debut in Warwick bumper in May. Off since but must be respected making hurdles bow.

Not disgraced on the second of his 2 starts in bumpers and much better effort over hurdles when third at Ludlow 3 weeks ago, albeit beaten over 27 lengths.

Russian Ruler (13/8), Moriko De Vassy (9/4), Raymond Tusk (5/2), Great Heart'Jac (5/1), Sulbrick (50/1), Bridge Road (66/1), Twistedfirestarter (100/1), Doors Breaker (200/1), Willa (300/1), Leading Man (300/1)

Verdict

RAYMOND TUSK was smart on the Flat and stepped up on his hurdles bow when beaten only by a good one at Newbury last month. He should have more to offer in this sphere and is preferred to Moriko de Vassy, who has a 7 lb penalty. Russian Ruler looked a decent prospect when winning a bumper at Warwick in May so must be respected on hurdles bow.
