Dual Becher Chase winner but he was struggling when unseating in this year's renewal and he'd been below par on his Chepstow return prior to that. C&D winner, but others have more pressing claims.
Did little wrong last term, including finishing third in Grand National Trial over C&D. Struggling when falling in Aintree Grade 2 on return but this more suitable and given a chance by handicapper.
Won at 2019 Cheltenham Festival. Good fifth in Ladbrokes Trophy at Newbury on last year's reappearance but he's been below par since, including on his Bangor return for a new yard.
Still very useful despite his advancing years and he built on his reappearance at Bangor when landing a veterans' event over 25f here at the start of the month. Likely to give another good account.
Useful at best for Paul Nicholls and landed 16-runner hunter at Cheltenham for this yard in April. Absent since a lesser run at Stratford in May but can be competitive off this mark if ready to roll.
Useful stayer at his best. Stepped up on his reappearance when 18 lengths second at Ludlow 24 days ago. Another who can't be ruled out.
Won this race in 2018 and added another course success back in March. Latest Wetherby third suggested he could be coming to the boil again and he's back on a winning mark. Considered.

Forecasts
Blaklion (11/4), The Two Amigos (16/5), Chef D'Oeuvre (7/2), Captain Cattistock (9/2), Bobo Mac (13/2), Beware The Bear (14/1), Vieux Lion Rouge (22/1)
The handicapper might have been generous dropping THE TWO AMIGOS to a mark lower then when placed in the Welsh National and the Grand National Trial over C&D last season so he's the suggestion. Chef d'Oeuvre has a pretty solid track record, including a win in this race, so he's feared most ahead of recent course scorer Blaklion.
- THE TWO AMIGOS
- CHEF D'OEUVRE (FR)
- BLAKLION
