Bolted up on his chasing bow at Wetherby last November but he jumped sketchily when last of four in Newbury Grade 2 33 days ago. No surprise to see him bounce back for top yard.

Completed a 5-timer over hurdles here in February and he scored readily on his debut in this sphere in 3m Kelso novice handicap 25 days ago. Sure to build on that, and he's well in the mix.

Fairly useful 25f hurdles winner. Off since being pulled up over 3m here in February. Returns over fences after wind op and 3 lb out of the handicap but can't be discounted for yard among the winners.

Forecasts

Bushypark (5/2), Farrants Way (3/1), Mint Condition (7/2), Torn And Frayed (4/1), Ashtown Lad (9/1), Frimeur De Lancray (16/1)

Verdict

TORN AND FRAYED found only the exciting My Drogo too good at Cheltenham last time and is fancied to gain a deserved first success in this sphere. Mint Condition also has better days ahead of him and is next on the list, although recent Kelso scorer Bushypark and both Ashtown Lad and Farrants Way can't be dismissed either in a very open handicap chase.

  1. TORN AND FRAYED (FR)
  2. MINT CONDITION
  3. BUSHYPARK (IRE)
