Shallow Hal^b¹⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 9-6| J: C Lee| T: K R Burke| OR: 92| D

9/2

12/1 and blinkered for 1st time, fourth of 5 in handicap at Chelmsford City (6f) 19 days ago. That was very much a return to form but he looks no more than averagely treated on balance.

Form: 050804

(8)

Muscika^v⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 9-5| J: David Probert| T: D O'Meara| OR: 91| CD

9/4

Resurgent from reduced mark of late, completing an AW hat-trick eased down over C&D 7 days ago. Clearly thriving at present and sound claims again from 6 lb higher mark.

Form: 356111

Corvair^p,t⁷⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 9-4| J: Cieren Fallon| T: R M H Cowell| OR: 90| C| D

8/1

Hard to win with but ended time with Simon & Ed Crisford with a handful of creditable in-the-frame efforts, latterly when third at Newmarket (7f) in September. However, remains above last winning mark

Form: 043433

(7)

Melodic Charm³⁹⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 9-0| J: Callum Shepherd| T: J Tate| OR: 86| CD

7/2

4-y-o filly who doubled her career tally over C&D last October. Not in same form at Kempton the following month though, and absent since so market may prove a good guide.

Form: 4/79315-

(3)

Night Narcissus¹⁶⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-10| J: J P Fahy| T: C G Cox| OR: 82| CD

5/1

C&D winner. 5/2, again found only one too good in 4-runner handicap at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) in June, giving best only late on. Fancied to give another good account of herself.

Form: 128222

(4)

Invincible Larne^v¹⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 8-6| J: L Morris| T: S Dixon| OR: 78| D

11/1

Respectable fifth of 9 in handicap at Chelmsford (5f, 13/2) 16 days ago. Operating 2 lb above last winning mark on yard debut but in good heart at present and good showing not ruled out.

Form: 335235

(1)

Temple Bruer⁴⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 8-5| J: Cam Hardie| T: R M H Cowell| OR: 77| D

18/1

Creditable third of 9 in handicap at this C&D (10/1) 40 days ago, no extra close home. No reason why he won't give another good account.

Form: 727293

Forecasts

Muscika (9/4), Melodic Charm (7/2), Shallow Hal (9/2), Night Narcissus (5/1), Corvair (8/1), Fizzy Feet (8/1), Invincible Larne (11/1), Corinthia Knight (12/1), Temple Bruer (18/1)

MUSCIKA has been resurgent in recent weeks, looking on very good terms with himself when completing the hat-trick over C&D 7 days ago, able to ease down close home. He can defy a 6 lb higher mark in this groove and earns the vote. Night Narcissus is proving a model of consistency, and along with Invincible Larne, heads up the dangers.
