Promise in a couple of Chepstow bumpers for Jamie Snowden last season, behind a couple of next-time-out hurdles winners latterly. Since transferred to Philip Hobbs.

Went the wrong way after a promising start in bumpers but caught the eye in no uncertain terms when fifth on last month's Market Rasen hurdling bow. Will be suited by 2½m, and sure to do better.

Fair form in bumpers and shaped as if better for the run on hurdling debut after 10 months off at Aintree in October, travelling well until entering straight. Should improve.

Horse silk

Shaped with only a little encouragement when fourth of 9 in a bumper at Worcester (16f, heavy) on NH debut 52 days ago, plugging on. Longer trip should be in his favour now hurdling.

Well held on his only start in bumpers and looked clueless sent hurdling when pulled up at Ludlow 19 days ago. Cheekpieces on for the 1st time.

Forecasts

Stag Horn (4/5), World Of Dreams (11/4), Highstakesplayer (9/1), Auba Me Yang (10/1), Braganza Bay (12/1), Walkonthewildside (16/1), Methody (25/1), Mojito Royale (66/1), Paschals Dream (80/1), Fashion's Model (80/1), Sonic Gold (150/1), Goodwillhunting (200/1), Tis But A Scratch (250/1), Outback Frontiers (250/1), Angus De Bull (300/1), Mitchell Street (300/1)

Verdict

STAG HORN, a smart stayer on the Flat, has to be considered the one to beat on this switch to hurdling, though both Auba Me Yang and Braganza Bay are interesting rivals in opposition. The former has transferred to Philip Hobbs after showing promise in a brace of bumpers for Jamie Snowden last season, while the latter very much caught the eye on his recent debut in this sphere at Market Rasen.

  1. STAG HORN
  2. AUBA ME YANG (IRE)
  3. BRAGANZA BAY
