Error-prone jumping means that he comes with risks, but avoided mistakes when third in a big-field Cheltenham handicap (21f) back hurdling last month. Solid each-way chance if able to back that up.
Did the job well when opening chase account at Newton Abbot (21f) in July. No show in a Grade 3 later that month, but returns to this sphere for new connections on a workable mark.
Off the mark over fences at Kelso last December, but followed that with a couple of non-completions and looks weighed up to his best back in this sphere.
Dual point winner who made a successful hurdles debut at Carlisle in March. Still leading when running out at the last on return there (2½m) in October and very much one to consider on handicap bow.
Signed off last term on a winning note at Uttoxeter (2½m), but his profile is distinctly patchy and arrives here on the back of an inauspicious reappearance/chase debut effort.
Bounced back from a couple of below par displays when belatedly opening his account in 17.2f handicap at Carlisle in October. Capable apprentice claims 10 lb and this 6-y-o is high on the shortlist.
Scored twice off significantly higher chase marks last season, but well below par in a few runs during the summer months and hard to know what to expected of him back in this sphere.
It wasn't a particularly strong race in which he opened his account on return here (15.6f) last month, but he did the job well and should be in the mix if coping with this step back up in trip.
Still well there when falling 2 out in a Perth handicap chase when last seen in May. Resumes back in this sphere on a fair mark, but he's not the most reliable and is probably worth taking on.
Perth winner in July and in good form of late, runner-up here and at Ayr (both at around 2m) on 2 of her last 3 starts. However, it remains to be seen if she'll benefit from this steo back up in trip.

Forecasts
Brayhill (3/1), Diamond State (7/2), Universal Folly (7/2), Finisk River (7/2), Sarvi (10/1), Enfin Phil (14/1), That's A Given (20/1), Castletown (33/1), Monsieur Co (50/1), The Delray Munky (66/1)
Preference is for DIAMOND STATE, who had plenty left in the tank when gaining his breakthrough success here last month and, on that evidence, this step back up in trip shouldn't be an issue. Universal Folly also opened his hurdles account last time and, like the selection, is partnered by a capable apprentice who claims 10 lb. He merits respect, but the unexposed Brayhill is feared most.
- DIAMOND STATE (FR)
- BRAYHILL (IRE)
- UNIVERSAL FOLLY
