Established as a useful handicap chaser for Mick Channon (excellent record at Cheltenham) and, while nowhere near as good in this spere, managed to land a novice at Kelso last time. Solid claims.

Well-related 5yo who was fourth in a point and shaped better than the result when third in a minor event at Ludlow on hurdling debut, finishing well. More to come, so should put up a bold bid.

Showed ability sole start in bumpers but failed to make a meaningful impact on both hurdling outings so far. Others are more persuasive.

Minor promise on both runs over hurdles, but he's likely to peak as a stayer further down the line.

Supplemented her bumper win with a successful hurdling debut over C&D and, while disappointing at Bangor since, may get back on the up after a 2-month break.

Fairly useful in bumpers and confirmed promise of hurdling debut when fifth in a strong novice at Aitree 27 days ago. Should be thereabouts.

Ballingarry gelding. Brother to smart hurdler/very smart chaser Diego du Charmil, and half-brother to useful hurdler/chaser Days of Heaven. Makes some appeal on paper.

Runner-up on second start in Irish points and clear signs of promise under Rules, although only modest form when fifth in a novice at Carlisle on hurdling bow. Others make more appeal.

Forecasts

Mister Whitaker (11/10), No Word Of A Lie (5/2), Bridge North (9/2), Torngat (12/1), Patagonia (18/1), Glorious Spirit (18/1), Court At Slip (33/1), Get Going (100/1)

Verdict

BRIDGE NORTH shaped well under an educational ride at Ludlow on hurdling debut and, while this drop in trip isn't neccessarily in his favour, the softer ground should play to his strengths, so he takes marginal preference over Mister Whitaker, who is penalised for his recent success at Kelso. No Word of A Lie is also considered.

  1. BRIDGE NORTH (IRE)
  2. MISTER WHITAKER (IRE)
  3. NO WORD OF A LIE
