Hard ride but ended 2019/20 with a win here (3m). Some respectable placed efforts last term but some way below best last 4 starts.
Better for switch to chasing last year and shaped as if retaining all ability after 12 months off when runner-up at Lingfield last month, sure to have finished much closer but for an error at last.
Winless following 10 runs over hurdles but scored between the flags and subsequently landed a handicap chase at Worcester. Last 2 starts have been disappointing, however. and since changed yards.
Improved for return to 3m when runner-up at Wetherby in December and picked up where he left off when second at Kelso on return. That form looks solid so needs taking seriously.
Unreliable individual who has been badly out of sorts since finishing second at Uttoxeter last October. Remains easy to oppose.
Poor hurdler/chaser whose stamina seemed stretched over slightly shorter than this the last twice, so obvious stamina concerns.
Runner-up on second chase start at Uttoxeter (3m) in June but that very much a standout effort in recent seasons.
Modest maiden who suggested he retains some ability back when fourth at Market Rasen (22.8f). However, took little interest at Newton Abbot next time, albeit on heavy ground. 5 lb out of weights.

BANANA JOE was strong in the betting starting out for this yard on chase bow/return at Hexham and looked sure to be in the mix when unshipping his rider 2 out. He's racing off the same mark here so rates a big player. Low-mileage 9-y-o Vintage Glen has taken well to fences and his runner-up effort at Kelso on return looks decent form. Bobmahley is another to consider.
