Had wind op before promising fourth of 9 in novice (5/2) at Hereford (16.2f, good) on his hurdles bow 22 days ago. Tongue strap on now, and looks the one to beat on form.

Showed fairly useful form when landing Wincanton bumper but tailed off in Grade 2 bumper at Aintree in April. Goes over hurdles now and needs considering with yard going well.

Forecasts

Sure Touch (4/9), Greatest Star (2/1), Mahanakhon Power (20/1), Chemical Warfare (50/1)

Verdict

GREATEST STAR made a pleasing start over hurdles when fourth at Hereford and looks to have been found an excellent opportunity to open his account here. Hurdling-newcomer Sure Touch brings winning bumper form to the table and hails from an in-form yard too so is fancied to chase him home.

  1. GREATEST STAR (FR)
  2. SURE TOUCH
  3. MAHANAKHON POWER
