Well-bred sort who stepped up on his promising debut when comfortably making all at Exeter at the turn of the year. Disappointed after 3 months off at Ayr in April and now makes hurdles debut.
|
Tailed off when pulled up before 2 out in newcomers race at Auteuil in 2019/20 on hurdling bow and unable to make any impact 15 months on for new yard on Boxing Day. Off since and hood applied.
|
Showed a fair level of ability in a brace of bumpers last term and found only one too good on hurdling debut/reappearance at Ffos Las last month, collared dying strides. Makes obvious appeal.
|
£14,000 3-y-o, £20,000 5-y-o, Schiaparelli gelding. Half-brother to modest hurdler/fair chaser Midnight Folie. Placed twice in Irish points (Apr 2019, latest outing) so could feature on debut.

Forecasts
Jazz King (8/11), Flemenstide (10/3), Go Sacre Go (9/2), The Strap Man (14/1)
JAZZ KING clearly benefitted from the step up in trip when he was collared in the dying strides at Ffos Las last month. The front pair pulled well clear of the third that day, so Sam Thomas' charge can make amends for that agonising defeat. Bumper-winner Flemenstide represents leading connections so he rates as the obvious danger on his hurdling debut.

- FLEMENSTIDE (IRE)
