Edwardstone¹²

Age: 7| Weight: 11-2| J: Tom Cannon| T: A King| OR: 150| BF

4/6

Smart and reliable hurdler who signed off with good third in Grade 3 handicap at Aintree in April. Didn't get very far back chasing over this C&D on return though was shaping well. Can make amends.

Form: U1353-B

Elixir De Nutz³⁴⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 11-2| J: Brendan Powell| T: C L Tizzard| OR: 142| BF| D

7/1

Smart hurdler at best but off 12 months/had wind op before underwhelming return when second of 5 in Hereford novice (2m, soft) on chase debut in December. Off another 11 months.

Form: 11177/2-

For Pleasure¹²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: Harry Bannister| T: A M Hales| OR: 141| D

17/2

Headstrong front runner who scored 4 times over hurdles last season, including in Grade 2 at Cheltenham. However, on small side and jumped rather flat on chase bow at Warwick on return, falling 4 out.

Form: 41035-F

Stepney Causeway^t²⁵

Age: 4| Weight: 10-8| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR: 135| BF| D

3/1

Useful on the Flat and quickly reached a similar level over hurdles last term, completing a simple task to bring up the 4-timer in a 2m novice at Ayr. Went off too hard on return. Makes chase debut.

Form: 51111-3

Forecasts

Edwardstone (4/6), Stepney Causeway (3/1), Elixir De Nutz (7/1), For Pleasure (17/2), Blazer's Mill (40/1)

EDWARDSTONE hadn't got very far on chasing debut but was shaping well given a second try when brought down over this C&D 12 days ago. He was the best of these over hurdles and has the physique to make it in this sphere, so is worth another chance. This does look a hot little novice, however, with For Pleasure, Elixir de Nutz and Stepney Causeway all at least useful over hurdles.
