Landed this contest 12 months ago but well below par over fences on his final two starts. Yard going well, so no surprise if he gets back on song here.

Winless last term, and signed off with a poor effort on the back of a wind operation in C&D handicap 6 months ago. Tongue strap back on and he reappears with something to prove.

Has made the frame on all his starts and gained a deserved first win 22f novice here in April. Back in handicap company for his return and he's weighted to go close.

Dual winning 3m hurdler but failed to go on over fences last term, pulled up on his last two starts. Back hurdling for his seasonal return and he can't be discounted with yard going well.

Much improved handicapper last season, and signed off with idling victory in 3m Chepstow handicap in April. Back with a career-high mark to overcome but he remains of interest.

Course winner who shaped as if in need of run after 5 months off when sixth of 10 in handicap over C&D 10 days ago. No surprise to see veteran step forward now off an easing mark.

Forecasts

Oneupmanship (5/2), Bells Of Peterboro (4/1), To Be Sure (11/2), Apache Creek (6/1), Looks Like Power (6/1), Poker Play (10/1), Good And Hardy (16/1), Seaston Spirit (16/1)

Verdict

APACHE CREEK did nothing but improve last term and is taken to go in at the first time of asking this time around for his in-form yard now stepped up to 3m for the first time. Bells of Peterboro also enjoyed a productive last season and is feared most on his seasonal return, although Oneupmanship is weighted to have a say too in a competitive handicap.
