Irish point winner who was improved following a wind op when runner-up in Grade 1 event at Aintree in April. Since had a second breathing op, and sort to do well over fences this term. Considered.

Smart and reliable hurdler who signed off with good third in Grade 3 handicap at Aintree in April. Goes back chasing now (unseated early on debut) and remains an interesting prospect.

Useful winning hurdler for Harry Fry who also made a most encouraging chasing debut when third in 2m Uttoxeter novice last October. Returns after a wind op for new yard and rates a big player.

Fairly useful 15f winner over hurdles. Sort to make his mark over fences but this is no easy introduction after 7 months off.

Forecasts

Edwardstone (13/8), King Roland (11/4), Do Your Job (3/1), For Pleasure (10/1), Nickolson (14/1)

Verdict

A fascinating novice chase in which KING ROLAND is taken to build on his most promising chasing bow last term and emerge on top on his first run for Dan Skelton. Smart hurdler Edwardstone has another go over fences after unseating early on his debut and rates an obvious threat, although both Do Your Job and For Pleasure aren't taken lightly either as they start out over fences.

  1. KING ROLAND (IRE)
  2. EDWARDSTONE
  3. DO YOUR JOB (IRE)
