It's now 17 runs since his last win in 2018, and he ran poorly after 6 months off when fourth of 5 in handicap chase at Plumpton (25.7f) 18 days ago. Blinkers back on with work to do.

Course winner but he has slipped a fair way in the weights since his latest success at Ffos Las in June 2019 and in reasonable form of late. Veteran can't be dismissed.

Remains a maiden, but she arrives in good nick, keeping on for fourth at Bangor (3m) on her latest outing in September. No surprise to see her in the mix again off the same mark.

C&D winner but he's been pulled up in handicap chases over C&D on his last two starts. Veteran needs to take a big step forward.

Forecasts

Tommie Beau (7/4), Hoot At Midnight (11/4), First Assembly (7/2), Between The Waters (7/1), Mogestic (18/1), Churchtown Glen (25/1), Irish Sovereign (25/1)

Verdict

TOMMIE BEAU made the perfect start to his chasing career when scoring at Fakenham last week and is impossible to oppose under a 7 lb penalty here given he jumped well and looks to have plenty more to offer in this sphere. Hoot At Midnight is still to register a victory but arrives in good order and can't be dismissed for place purposes along with course winner Between The Waters.

  1. TOMMIE BEAU (IRE)
  2. HOOT AT MIDNIGHT
  3. BETWEEN THE WATERS (IRE)
