Twenty-seven runs since last win in 2019. Eighth of 14 in handicap (25/1) at Nottingham (5f, good) 13 days ago. Needs to bounce back in a major way.
Latest win at Musselburgh in October. 17/2, seventh of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (5.1f) 10 days ago. Needs considering back on turf.
One win from 28 Flat runs. Ninth of 11 in handicap at Newcastle (6f, 28/1) 18 days ago and he's hard to recommend at present.
C&D winner. Respectable fourth of 11 in handicap at Newcastle (6f, 5/1) 18 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time and possibilities back at the minimum trip off a 2 lb lower mark.
Lightly-raced maiden. 4/1, first run since leaving Lawrence Mullaney when very good second of 12 in handicap at Musselburgh (5f, heavy) 15 days ago, just failing. High on the shortlist.
C&D winner. 16/1, good third of 14 in handicap at Nottingham (5f, good) 13 days ago. Down another 2 lb and it's likely that he will take a hand in the finish.
25/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, fourteenth of 15 in handicap at Thirsk (6f, good to firm). Off 145 days and it's probably best to look elsewhere.
11/4, career best when winning 9-runner handicap at Beverley (5f, good to firm) 58 days ago, just holding on. 2 lb rise fair enough and she's one of the more appealing candidates.
Course winner. Sixth of 9 in handicap (50/1) at Leicester (6f, heavy) 21 days ago. Certainly capable off this sort of mark, but others make more appeal on balance.
50/1, pulled up in handicap at this course (6f, good to soft) 27 days ago. Very hard to make a case for on the back of that display.
One win from 31 Flat runs. Twenty-two runs since last win in 2019. 10/1, sixth of 7 in handicap at Brighton (5.3f, heavy) 21 days ago, going off too hard. Each-way shout.
Fifteen runs since last win in 2020. 12/1, respectable fourth of 14 in handicap at Nottingham (5f, good) 13 days ago. Now 1 lb lower and he should be in the mix.
C&D winner. Sixteen runs since last win in 2020. Twelfth of 13 in handicap at Newcastle (6f, 20/1) 11 days ago. Likely to come up short once more.
Temperamental sort. Seventh of 10 in handicap (7/1) at Wolverhampton (5.1f). Off 155 days. Cleary more of a force on the AW and he's readily passed over.
17/2, fourth of 6 in handicap at Chelmsford City (5f) 31 days ago. This seven-race maiden needs to find some improvement if he's to emerge on top.

Captain Corcoran (7/2), Country Charm (4/1), Val De Travers (9/2), Cable Guy (15/2), Zoom Star (12/1), The Gloaming (12/1), Sambucca Spirit (12/1), Afandem (18/1), Tomahawk Ridge (20/1), Showtime Elle (20/1), Lucky Beggar (22/1), Rockley Point (25/1), Compton's Finale (66/1), Blackcurrent (100/1), Rose All Day (125/1)
THE GLOAMING followed her Musselburgh success with a below-par display at Wolverhampton 10 days ago, but that wasn't the first time that she has failed to fire on the all-weather. Iain Jardine 's charge can be expected to get back on track now returned to turf and she gets the nod ahead of Sambucca Spirit and Val de Travers.
- THE GLOAMING (IRE)
- SAMBUCCA SPIRIT
- VAL DE TRAVERS
