Progressive type who scored three times last season and signed off with an excellent third in the Mersey Novices' Hurdle at Aintree. Leading claims with yard sure to have him tuned up for return.

Ex-French recruit who was disappointing over fences last season but was back on the right path on his last couple of efforts over hurdles. Looks a player from a fair mark after 6 months off.

Big improver over fences last term, landing the Paddy Power Gold Cup and hitting the frame in big handicaps here on his final couple of outings. This is most likely a prep' run, however.

Fairly useful hurdler who was below form when last seen at Exeter 9 months ago. Mark is becoming more appealing, but he'll probably strip fitter for this.

Useful on Flat and already a dual winner over hurdles. Lacked determination under pressure on handicap bow at Uttoxeter last time, so might find this tough at the business end.

Went backwards from successful hurdling debut (strong form) at Ascot a year ago and fell in novice at Kempton on final outing last season. Mark is fair if he can get back on track after 6 months off.

Fairly useful, dual hurdles winner who completed the hat-trick in a jumpers bumper at Lingfield (2m) in February. Not disgraced subsequently but others are likely to be more forward.

Arrives on a hat-trick after 2m wins at Market Rasen and Exeter 6 months ago. This is tougher, but a good pace willl suit and his top yard won't have left much to work on.

Front-runner who continued her progress with a gutsy display to score at Warwick, impressing with how much she found for pressure. Return to this trip could bring more out of her, so one to consider.

Fairly useful hurdles winner for Olly Murphy who has proved disappointing over fences/hurdles in recent months. Up against it starting out for a new yard in a hot contest.

Winner of handicaps at Ballinrobe and Downpatrick during the summer. Firmly on the up and significant that her shrewd yard have picked out this race, so she's one to consider.

Completed a double at Uttoxeter in September and wasn't disgraced when fourth at Worcester next time. Might find this a bit too competitive, however.

Guard Your Dreams (16/5), Found On (18/5), Art Approval (9/2), Captain Morgs (15/2), Saint Sonnet (9/1), Sometimes Always (9/1), Coole Cody (11/1), Mullaghmore Wave (14/1), Dal Horrisgle (20/1), Calvinist (33/1), Clemencia (33/1), Fitzroy (150/1)

Verdict

GUARD YOUR DREAMS looks well treated based on his excellent third in Grade 1 company at Aintree when last seen and his stable has made a customary solid start to the season, so he gets the nod ahead of Art Approval, who should also be well tuned up for this reappearance. Irish-raider Mullaghmore Wave also makes appeal.
