Taken very to fences and in good form back over hurdles of late. Remains unexposed in this sphere and this sort of test promises to suit.
Fairly useful hurdler who was suited by the step up in trip when off the mark on second chase start over 26f here in March and not disgraced in a stronger race at Haydock final start. Not dismissed.
Fairly useful staying chaser who usually goes well here and produced best recent effort when third over 26f at this track when last seen in March. Starts the new campaign on a fair mark.
Ex-Irish whose profile over fences is generally progressive, easily winning at Southwell before 15 lengths second in Borders National at Kelso. Crashing fall at Musselburgh since. Off 8 months.
Best effort for a while when scoring at Sedgefield in December. Held every chance when running out at the fourth-last at Haydock (short of room) and ended last season with good second at Southwell.
Hurdles winner who made it 3 wins from last 5 starts over fences when landing 4-runner Sedgefield handicap (27f). Creditable second off revised mark at Uttoxeter since and player in this groove.
Gained first win since 2019 in 3m chase at Wetherby in April and has continued in good nick, far from disgraced from out of the handicap at Perth when last seen in June. Not taken lightly.
Cashed in off reduced mark in this race last year. Largely underwhelming efforts since, though at least stopped the slide at Perth latest. 3 lb out of handicap.
Not the force of old and well out of the handicap here.

Forecasts
Hewick (3/1), Montanna (10/3), Red Giant (9/2), Classic Escape (6/1), Silva Eclipse (8/1), Manwell (12/1), Bafana Blue (12/1), Brian Boranha (14/1), Young Turk (125/1)
Irish-raider HEWICK arrives in tip-top form and may have even more to offer over this longer trip on what is only his fifth chase start. Classic Escape has not been seen since a crashing fall in the Edinburgh National at Musselburgh in February but his profile for this yard is generally a progressive one so rates the main threat ahead of the in-form Montanna.
