4,000 gns 3-y-o, Night of Thunder gelding. Closely related to a winner and half-brother to 2 winners, including smart 7f winner Silent Escape. Dam French 1¼m winner. Not an obvious sort on paper.

Fairly useful on Flat for Richard Hannon and made an encouraging start to his hurdling career for a new yard when second in a juvenile at Ludlow 11 days ago. Should go one better.
|
Left debut form well behind when third in a novice at Beverley last month. Could trouble Genuflex if he takes to the new discipline
|
Modest maiden on the Flat for Ollie Pears. Hard to imagine he'll make any sort of impact switched to hurdling.
|
Poor maiden on the Flat and far from guaranteed to get the trip on hurdling bow. Easily opposed.
|
Looked rather limited on the Flat for Sir Mark Prescott and isn't really bred for hurdling, so best watched.

Forecasts
Genuflex (4/11), Great Commission (5/1), Shamrock Wine (10/1), Drumfire (12/1), Ben Asker (14/1), Sisu (25/1), Lucy Rules (33/1)
GENUFLEX was the best of these on the Flat and has an experience edge having recorded a sound hurdling debut when second at Ludlow recently, so he's difficult to oppose. Great Commission is the likeliest to capitalise if the selection disappoints, but most of the others are hard to fancy.
- GENUFLEX
- GREAT COMMISSION
- BEN ASKER (IRE)
