Once-raced maiden. 16/1, last of 7 in minor event at Newcastle (8f) on debut 11 days ago. Will need to leave that effort well behind if he's to make an impact here.

Once-raced maiden. 150/1, last of 10 in minor event at Ayr (8f, good to firm) on debut 26 days ago. Another who will probably be seen in a better light when handicapping in due course.

Once-raced maiden. 13/2, seventh of 11 in maiden at Sandown (7f, good) on debut 51 days ago. In good hands and likely to leave that form well behind in time.

Foaled February 3. Oasis Dream colt. Obvious appeal given his poweful connections and confidence behind this colt in the betting would look significant.

Forecasts

Akhu Najla (2/1), Yukon Star (4/1), Mystery Monarch (5/1), Ikhtiraaq (11/2), Knight Of Honour (6/1), Vee Sight (8/1), Mega Marvel (22/1), Mr Rumbalicious (66/1), Bearing Bob (200/1), Overdraft (200/1), Regal Vision (250/1)

Verdict

While a couple of these have already shown plenty of ability, it's the newcomers that standout, namely AKHU NAJLA, Yukon Star and Knight of Honour. Needless to say, the market will be revealing where that trio are concerned, but as things stand preference is for Akhu Najla, who ticks pretty much all the right boxes on paper. Mystery Monarch and Ikhtiraaq are the best of those with experience.

  1. AKHU NAJLA
  2. YUKON STAR (IRE)
  3. KNIGHT OF HONOUR (IRE)
