a lengthy losing run when scoring at Southwell (20.5f, good) in June and backed it up with a couple of solid in-frame efforts, fourth at Fontwell on latest. Should be thereabouts in a thin race.

Forecasts

Josie Abbing (11/10), Miss Bamby (13/2), Say Nothing (13/2), Dark Motive (13/2), Kentford Mallard (8/1), Little Peachey (12/1), Persuer (14/1)

JOSIE ABBING is fancied to hit the ground running for the new Fergal O'Brien/Graeme McPherson operation and follow up her Fontwell win in a race where opposition is thin on the ground. The in-form Kentford Mallard seems the clear danger on paper, although further progress from handicap debutant Dark Motive would give her a chance.
