Resumed winning ways at Thirsk (1m, heavy) in May and best effort since when runner-up over C&D in August. Quicker ground more recently and better showing anticipated here.
Landed back-to-back Carlisle handicaps on soft/heavy (at up to 7.8f) in the spring. Not kicked on as expected in trio of starts since but another who may benefit from return to softer ground now.
Lightly-raced maiden who was tight in betting and not seen to best effect when sixth of 7 on handicap debut at Ayr (7.2f) in April, hampered over 1f out. Absent since and market best guide here.
Shaped as if retaining all of his ability on the back of a lengthy absence this summer, keeping on for third at Sandown (1m) in August. Essentially still unexposed as a 6-y-o so not ruled out.
Creditable fourth of 12 in handicap at Beverley (9.9f, good to soft) 3 weeks ago. Remains 1 lb above last winning mark but blinkers may help and drop back to 1m will hold no fears.
Fourteen runs since last win in 2020. Ninth of 12 in handicap at Redcar (8f, good, 33/1) 2 days ago. Others preferred.
22/1, last of 7 in handicap at Ripon (8f, good to firm) 79 days ago, folding tamely and eased off. However, he has proved more miss than hit in handful of starts this campaign.
Reacted well to refitted visor when scoring at Newbury (1m) in July. Disappointed on 2 of his 3 starts since though, well held last of 7 at Epsom (8.5f) om his latest outing. Eased 2 lb since.
Nineteen runs since last win in 2019. 7/2, fourth of 6 in handicap at this C&D (good) 18 days ago. Mark has eased a little more and he holds each-way claims here.
Lightly-raced maiden. Below form seventh of 13 in maiden (28/1) at Redcar (7f, good) in August. That was his first start for 5 months but he needs to step up plenty on that to figure.

Dark Spec (16/5), Little Jo (4/1), Key Look (9/2), Al Erayg (5/1), Grantley (5/1), Helm Rock (6/1), Al Qaasim (12/1), Irv (12/1), Goodwood Glen (16/1), Ventura Mutiny (33/1), Big Muddy (80/1)
LITTLE JO has only been ticking over of late but his best efforts has come on ground softer than good and, from an easing mark faced with much more suitable conditions, a bold bid is expected back at a venue where he has built up a good record. Dark Spec has twice run well upon returning from a lengthy absence and is feared, along with 3-y-o Grantley.
