Useful form at best as a 2-y-o for Peter Chapple-Hyam back in 2019. Missed last year but proved she retains ability albeit in a few muddling affairs this summer. Still, others more persuasive.

Solid effort after a gelding operation when runner-up at Bath (10.2f) last month and similar form when fourth of 6 at Thirsk 20 days ago. Step back in trip sure to suit so he's respected.

Has looked useful in his 3 starts to date, not needing to improve to get off the mark after 4 months off (gelded in interim) at Beverley last month. One to note on handicap debut back up in trip.

Successful over 1m here in May and solid placed efforts next 2 starts. However, good run of form came to a grinding halt on his last couple of starts and he needs to bounce back to feature.

Made it 2 wins from 5 runs this year on his penultimate start but failed to land a blow on all-weather debut at Newcastle last time. Blinkers applied but doesn't look one for maximum faith.

Unfortunate to lose the race in the Stewards' Room at Ffos Las on penultimate start but made amends at Chepstow just over a fortnight ago. Should have more to offer making his handicap debut.

Wasted no time shrugging off a disappointing run on handicap debut when coming through to score by 4½ lengths at Newbury (1m) in July. Not anywhere near that level next time so bounce back required.

Completed a quick-fire hat-trick at Windsor on penultimate outing and shaped as if still in good form following a small rise there last month, faring best of those held up. Solid each-way claims.

Forecasts

Fireworks (6/4), Rebel Territory (9/2), Sevenal (5/1), Celtic Art (6/1), Alhezabr (6/1), Mashhoor (7/1), Ananya (15/2), Glen Esk (12/1), Turntable (18/1), Diffident Spirit (40/1)

Verdict

Plenty in with a shout but it could pay to side with FIREWORKS. William Haggas' charge made the most of a good opportunity after 4 months off to get off the mark at Beverley last month, and with improvement a distinct possibility, he can make a winning start to life in handicaps. Glen Esk has upped his game this year so he's feared most, ahead of Rebel Territory and Mashhoor.
