Latest win at Leicester in July. 12/1, good second of 13 in handicap at Thirsk (7f, good) 12 days ago, having to pick way through. High on the shortlist.
Course winner. Latest win here in April. 11/2, seventh of 8 in handicap at Carlisle (7.8f, good) 75 days ago, very slowly away. Others more persuasive.
25/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, respectable fourth of 10 in handicap at Beverley 36 days ago, faring best of those held up. Shortlist material having slipped back to last winning mark.
14/1, didn't need to improve to win 9-runner handicap at Newcastle (10.2f) 13 days ago. Back down in trip. Looks vulnerable even after a small rise.
13/2, creditable second of 5 in handicap at Haydock (7f, firm) 13 days ago, no match for winner. Hard to rely on, so may not be in the same form.
Unreliable type. C&D winner. Good second of 12 in handicap (14/1) at Newcastle (7.1f) 14 days ago. Knocking on the door lately, so chance can't be ignored.
Very good second of 10 in handicap (10/1) at Thirsk (7f, good to firm) 34 days ago, doing better under change of tactics. Should go well again.
Eleven runs since last win in 2019. 16/1, creditable second of 8 in handicap at Musselburgh (8f, good to soft) 4 days ago. Not taken lightly from a handy mark.
Course winner. Latest win here in July. 18/1, creditable third of 11 in handicap at Newcastle (7.1f) 13 days ago, helped by being held up in strongly-run race. Not certain to back that up.
One win from 32 Flat runs. Nineteen runs since last win in 2019. Bit below form fourth of 9 in minor event (5/2) at Beverley (8.4f, soft) 1 day ago.

Forecasts
Eligible (3/1), Daniel Deronda (10/3), Bringitonboris (6/1), End Zone (8/1), Tilsitt (10/1), Midnite Bride (10/1), Invincibly (12/1), Diamond Haze (12/1), Mac Ailey (14/1), Oriental Lilly (40/1)
DANIEL DERONDA was narrowly denied at Thirsk last time and the race has already thrown up a couple of subsequent winners, so he's worth taking a chance on to go one better in an open contest. Diamond Haze benefited from a switch to front-running at the same course last month, so he should pose a threat with similar tactics likely to be employed, while the in-form Bringitonboris warrants respect.
- DANIEL DERONDA
- DIAMOND HAZE (IRE)
- BRINGITONBORIS (USA)
