Once-raced maiden. Third of 4 in maiden (11/8) at Ayr (6f, good) on debut 27 days ago. Clearly thought capable of better, so should improve with the benefit of experience.

Twice-raced maiden. Fourth of 13 in minor event (28/1) at Thirsk (8f, good) 7 days ago, never nearer. Remains with potential, although drop in trip here probably won't suit.

Forecasts

Papa Cocktail (9/4), Kodebreaker (5/1), Runshaw Lane (5/1), Power Generation (6/1), Clarets Glory (10/1), Dreadfort (12/1), Fiftyshadesaresdev (14/1), Amazon Prince (16/1), Sea Time (16/1), Bitcoin Ranger (16/1), Treasure Troube (66/1), The Covex Kid (125/1)

Verdict

RUNSHAW LANE finished well from an unpromising position when fifth at Beverley on debut and, provided he breaks more alertly, there's a good chance he can confirm that promise to get off the mark at the second attempt. Papa Cocktail, the only winner in the field, didn't have the rub of the green in a nursery at York last time, so he's a player, while Sea Time strikes as a notable newcomer.

  1. RUNSHAW LANE
  2. PAPA COCKTAIL (IRE)
  3. SEA TIME
