Beverley winner in June and hit the crossbar on each of his next 3 starts. Race perhaps came too soon when below par at Doncaster (6f, good) latest and reverting to the minimum trip here will help.

Dual winner for Andrew Balding at 2 yrs and runner-up in 5f Nottingham handicap on second run for this yard in April. More miss than hit since, but given a chance by the assessor and merits respect.
|
Narrow winner of a C&D handicap on sole previous visit here in June, but form has subsequently tailed off and he's essentially opposable, for all that his mark is on the slide.
|
Clearly all the better for a break when opening her account at Lingfield (5f, AW) in June. Subsequent efforts have represented steps in the wrong direction, though, and it's best to look elsewhere.
|
Gelded ahead of winning reappearance in 5f Wolverhampton handicap in March. Clear second over the same C&D next time and may have needed recent run at Doncaster (first start for 5 months).
|
Off the mark on the AW in May and proved that he's equally effective on turf when going close at Ffos Las (5f, good) recently. However, he's up in grade here and is 8 lb 'wrong' at the weights.

Ava Go Joe (2/1), Batraan (9/4), Bert Kibbler (10/3), Night On Earth (7/2), Lost My Sock (11/2), Ancient Times (11/2), Kim Wexler (13/2), Red Walls (33/1)
NIGHT ON EARTH hasn't been at his best since finishing second at Nottingham in April, but the handicapper has given him a real chance (now 11 lb lower in the weights) and he wasn't beaten far by some in-form, progressive types last time. Nigel Tinkler's charge is worth siding with here. Providing the ground doesn't ease, Batraan will be a threat and Bert Kibbler also enters calculations.
- NIGHT ON EARTH (IRE)
- BATRAAN (IRE)
