Summer Raceday 24th August Handicap Chase

Winning hurdler who shaped encouragingly sent chasing at Exeter in April, jumping soundly in the main. Looked amiss at Huntingdon next time, however, and needs to bounce back.

Made a winning hurdles debut here last July and runner-up twice over timber during the spring. However, his first run in this sphere at Perth in May resulted in a heavy defeat.

Won 3 of his last 4 starts, finding further improvement when taking 5-runner handicap chase over C&D (good to soft) 17 days ago. 7 lb higher now but another bold bid on the cards.

Landed a Sedgefield handicap chase back in 2019 but been rather disappointing since. However, has dropped significantly in the weights and there have been more positive signs this summer.

Back to winning ways over hurdles in June but not so good since and remains to be seen if improvement is forthcoming on first crack over larger obstacles.

Dual hurdle winner in France who struck over fences for new yard at Huntingdon in November. Unable to reproduce that since, however, and now tried in first-time visor.

Acquitted himself well in trio of chase outings at Cartmel this summer, latest when close third (17.3f) last month. Now 9 lb higher (3 lb out of the weights), however.
