Fair form over hurdles, although well held in sole handicap in that sphere. Visored for the first time now switching to fences.

Bumper winner. Went close on Hereford handicap hurdle debut in January. Has failed to reproduce that since but perhaps a switch to chasing will help on his return to action.

Fair maiden hurdler for Harry Fry but struggled when switched to handicaps and fared little when switched to fences for new yard last month, albeit he might have needed the run.

Maiden who has failed to make a significant impact in handicap hurdles so will need to improve for the switch to fences if he's to get off the mark here.

Still early days with this yard and there were more positive signs when second of 13 at Uttoxeter last month. High on the shortlist here.

Fairly useful bumper winner. Only modest form over hurdles but he was a bit better than the result suggests when fifth on last month's Worcester chase debut. Entitled to improve.

Modest hurdler/chaser. Ran a couple of sound races over hurdles for his new trainer in the spring and now reverts to fences after a 12-week break.

Pulled up sole outing in points. No promise in 2 hurdles in Ireland but seemed to show more when fourth of 8 in Cartmel novice on stable debut in July. Makes chase/handicap debut now.

Forecasts

Train Hill (10/3), Rebel Leader (4/1), Babytaggle (11/2), Jamessaintpatrick (8/1), Rock On Tiger (8/1), Dubai Guest (11/1), Cilluirid (12/1), Brother Pat (16/1), Grove Ash (20/1), Freddie Darling (20/1), Ballynagran (22/1), The Three Wizards (40/1), Sweet Beat (100/1)

Verdict

REBEL LEADER made a sound return to fences when second at Uttoxeter last month and is selected to strike at the fourth time of asking for Dr Richard Newland. Train Hill was caught too far back on his Worcester chase debut and is open to improvement with that initial experience of fences behind him so he may provide the chief threat ahead of Babytaggle.
