Fall Of Rome¹⁵

Age: 2| Weight: 9-7| J: W Buick| T: C Appleby| OR: 89| CD

11/8

Second to the smart Go Bears Go on debut at Ascot (5f) in May. Beaten favourite upped to 6f next 2 starts but much more like it when making a winning nursery bow over C&D despite hanging left.

Form: 2331

(3)

South Audley⁹

Age: 2| Weight: 8-13| J: Liam Browne⁽⁷⁾| T: R Hannon| OR: 81

12/1

Off the mark at the third attempt in comfortable style in maiden at Nottingham (6f) in June, just pushed out. Denied a clear run on nursery debut at Goodwood last week so this will reveal more.

Form: 7310

(7)

Uncs^p1²⁰

Age: 2| Weight: 8-12| J: Rossa Ryan| T: G Boughey| OR: 80| D

5/1

Winner on 7.5f Beverley debut in June and matched that level when defying a penalty at Redcar 3 weeks ago. Cheekpieces fitted switched to nurseries.

Form: 141

(4)

Desert Angel¹⁴

Age: 2| Weight: 8-12| J: David Probert| T: R Hannon| OR: 80

11/1

Similar form when third in novice/maiden events at Ascot and this C&D 2 weeks ago. Opening mark demands more.

Form: 933

(6)

Already Gone⁹

Age: 2| Weight: 8-12| J: J F Egan| T: J S Moore| OR: 80| D

20/1

Improved form when opening his account on nursery debut at Leicester last month. That form is working out well but he was never really going at Goodwood last week.

Form: 50310

(5)

Neptune Legend^t²⁶

Age: 2| Weight: 8-10| J: Oisin Murphy| T: H Palmer| OR: 78

7/1

Runner-up on debut over 6f at Nottingham in May, Hasn't reproduced that twice since (tongue tied at Lingfield last month), but shapes as though worth a go at 7f.

Form: 284

(2)

Blue Collar Lad⁹

Age: 2| Weight: 8-9| J: Ray Dawson⁽³⁾| T: R Brisland| OR: 77

9/2

Scored at Bath on debut and almost defied huge odds when runner-up on nursery debut at Goodwood last week, doing well considering he met trouble. 2 lb rise could be lenient.

Form: 13842

Forecasts

Fall Of Rome (11/8), Blue Collar Lad (9/2), Uncs (5/1), Neptune Legend (7/1), Desert Angel (11/1), South Audley (12/1), Already Gone (20/1)

BLUE COLLAR LAD relished the step up to 7f and was perhaps an unlucky loser on nursery debut at Goodwood given he met trouble. A 2 lb rise could therefore be lenient so he is preferred to last-time-out C&D scorer Fall of Rome.
