9/4

Signed off a great 2020 with victory in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf and returned with an excellent second behind Love at Royal Ascot. Course winner and she's the one to beat.

Lady Bowthorpe²⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 9-7| J: K Shoemark| T: W Jarvis| OR: 117

10/3

Has continued to improve this year, winning the Dahlia on return before fine runs in the Lockinge and Duke of Cambridge. Got little luck in the Falmouth and big effort expected up in trip.

Form: 66-1224

(1)

Empress Josephine⁴¹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-12| J: L Dettori| T: A P O'Brien| OR: 108

9/1

Tremendously well-bred filly who surged home to get up late in the Irish 1000 Guineas, beating Joan of Arc. Not so good in the Coronation though, finishing weakly. Could bounce back under Dettori.

Form: 10218

Joan Of Arc³⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-12| J: R L Moore| T: A P O'Brien| OR: 111| D

9/4

Another fantastically-bred Coolmore filly. Has improved with each run, putting narrow defeat to Empress Josephine behind her with victory in the Prix de Diane, relishing the longer trip. Big player.

Form: 2-16121

(2)

Technique³⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 8-12| J: Tom Marquand| T: M Meade| OR: 105

33/1

Debut winner over this trip at Wolverhampton in January and back on track when second in Newcastle Group 3 last month, edged out by Zeyaadah. Tons more needed to land a blow here.

Form: 12772

Zeyaadah³⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 8-12| J: Jim Crowley| T: R Varian| OR: 106| D

7/1

Building up a good strike rate, 3-3 at 2 yrs, and back to winning ways with sights lowered in Newcastle Group 3 last month, value for more than head-margin over Technique. May do better still.

Form: 111-201

Forecasts

Joan Of Arc (9/4), Audarya (9/4), Lady Bowthorpe (10/3), Zeyaadah (7/1), Empress Josephine (9/1), Technique (33/1)

AUDARYA appeals as the most solid proposition. She pushed Love all the way to the line at Royal Ascot and that should serve as an excellent platform for further Group 1 success now back against her own sex. Joan Of Arc looked all stamina when winning the Prix de Diane and is the danger with more improvement to come.
