Dual 1m winner last summer who continues in form, beaten a length in class 2 Doncaster handicap 7 weeks ago. Will pop up again soon.
Enhanced good record at Ayr with another victory in 5-runner 1m handicap under this rider earlier this month. Nudged up just 2 lb but suspect even that will halt the follow-up.
Made a successful return after 10 months off in 1m handicap at Newbury in June and not disgraced in stronger race at Ascot (10f) a fortnight ago. Could have more to offer back down in trip.
Form of his 2 wins 8 months apart is solid and he's worth staying positive about despite a disappointing defeat on his handicap debut at Redcar in April. Given a break since and remains with promise.
Juvenile Ireland maiden winner unable to make impact at listed/Group level in 2020 and has finished well held in 2 runs for new yard, checking out tamely in first-time tongue tie at Ascot. Hood tried.
Useful winner in France. Well beaten in 2 runs for new yard in recent months (including over C&D latest) but no surprise if he makes more of an impact as his mark falls.
Good record here and won this last year off a whopping 9 lb higher mark. Quiet this season, slowly away in change of headgear at Ripon on Saturday. Runs in the colours of the race sponsors.
Won 7f handicap here in October. Just failed to reel in Chichester in the Carlisle Bell last month but not so good at Newmarket since.
Won 1m Ayr handicap last month and back to form at Ripon on Saturday, bumping into an improver. More needed in this tougher contest.
Had odds-on Kettle Hill in behind when scoring at Redcar in April and back to form when not beaten far in female amateurs' handicap at Chester a fortnight ago. This is harder.

Forecasts
Kettle Hill (3/1), Naval Commander (4/1), Global Spirit (11/2), Garden Oasis (13/2), Redarna (15/2), Chichester (8/1), Scottish Summit (11/1), Defence Treaty (11/1), Firmament (12/1), Apricot Moon (18/1), Safran (50/1)
KETTLE HILL was disappointing behind Defence Treaty on his handicap debut at Redcar in April, but his profile prior to that was all positive and he still looks well handicapped. He's worth another chance back from 3 months off. Naval Commander is respected back down in trip, while a revival from last year's winner Firmament could be on the way, his syndicate sponsoring the race this season.
- KETTLE HILL
- NAVAL COMMANDER
- FIRMAMENT
