Ripon maiden winner (9.7f) as a 3-y-o who didn't kick on from a promising reappearance third on AW last summer, well held in trio of Chester handicaps. Betting may prove good guide on return to action
Maiden who didn't figure in blinkers at Newcastle (10f) in June but back to best when headed close home over 9f at Catterick 9 days ago. 2 lb higher now and claims of hitting frame again with a repeat
Consistent 4-y-o who belatedly shed maiden tag when keeping on well to score over 10f at Windsor in June. 5 lb higher now but he's respected nonetheless.
Ended losing run in small-field C&D event in April but his exploits have been distinctly mixed since, midfield in 9-runner Carlisle handicap (9f) 9 days ago. Fallen below last winning mark at least.
All 4 career victories have come on tapeta at Newcastle, rattling off hat-trick over 1m in March. Not disgraced since and good showing not ruled out back on turf.
Maiden who returned to form when fifth in a C&D handicap last month, albeit looking a shade hesitant when in the clear. Never a threat at Ayr (1m) since and others make more appeal.
Winless since 2-y-o days but she arrives having finished placed in handicaps at around 1m at Wolverhampton/Leicester in recent weeks. Worth a crack at this longer trip on balance.
Largely below his best last term but solid start to present campaign, finding only an improving 3-y-o too good over C&D in June. Operating 1 lb below last winning mark and one to consider.

BILLY ROBERTS has run well all 3 starts so far this campaign, finding only an improving 3-y-o too strong in a C&D event 4 weeks ago. He gets the nod to come out on top, with Windsor-scorer Glen Esk heading up the dangers. Parikarma and Mr Coco Bean complete the shortlist.
