10/3

Twelve runs since last win in 2019. 18/1 and blinkered for 1st time, better than bare result when fifth of 13 in handicap at Windsor (8.1f) 15 days ago, not ideally placed. Not dismissed out of hand.

Form: 7349-55

(3)

Camacho Man²¹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-4| J: Tom Marquand| T: A W Carroll| OR: 51

5/1

Remains a maiden after 16 Flat runs. 5/1, first run since leaving Jennie Candlish when good third of 11 in handicap at Brighton (7f) 21 days ago. One to consider on the back of that effort.

Form: 2550-43

(10)

South Carolina²⁶⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-1| J: Daniel Muscutt| T: A Wintle| OR: 57

28/1

Thrice-raced maiden. 150/1, eighth of 11 in minor event at Wolverhampton (7.2f) in October, racing freely and never a threat. Absent since and market best guide now handicapping on return.

11/4

Creditable third of 13 in handicap at Chepstow (7.1f, firm, 10/1) 22 days ago, keeping on from over 2f out. Booking of Buick catches the eye and one to bear in mind back up at 1m.

10/3

Good second of 8 in handicap (11/2) at Brighton (7f, good to soft) 7 days ago, keeping on without making an impression on the winner. Another worth considering in an ordinary affair.

Forecasts

Beastie Boy (11/4), Foxy Femme (10/3), Hellavapace (10/3), Camacho Man (5/1), Diamond Jill (17/2), Air Of York (14/1), South Carolina (28/1), Al Gaiya (33/1), Confrerie (33/1), Lovely Acclamation (50/1)

An open looking handicap with the narrow vote in favour of BEASTIE BOY. He remains a maiden on the back of 8 starts but has twice ran with credit in recent weeks and may well be up to putting it all together from a career-low mark under William Buick. Hellavapace and Camacho Man head up the dangers.
