Decisive Nottingham winner in May and good second in the Woodcote at Epsom the following month. Well held at the Royal meeting here last time, though, and looks vulnerable on nursery debut.
Surprise winner of a soft-ground Newmarket novice on debut in May. Failed to build on that when fourth of 11 at Newbury (6.5f) next time, but he wasn't disgraced and opening mark looks fair.
Finished a length adrift of Flaming Rib (3 lb worse off) when third in the Woodcote at Epsom. Performed to a similar level when narrowly touched off at Newmarket since, but this is more demanding.
Well-bred and didn't go unbacked prior to making a winning debut at Leicester. Didn't enjoy the best of runs in the Windsor Castle at the Royal meeting here next time and it's still early days.
Close second in a 5f Doncaster maiden in May, but efforts either side of that not so good (gelded since latest start) and improvement needed now pitched into a nursery.
Solid placed efforts on first 3 starts, including when third to Go Bears Go on soft ground here (5f) in May. Nearer last than first in the Windsor Castle last time, but merits respect on nursery bow.
Has performed with credit on each of his 3 starts, albeit without really progressing. Still, opening mark looks fair and it wouldn't be the greatest surprise were he to improve now upped to 6f.
Appeared to be getting the hang of things when third at Salisbury (6f) last month and stamina stretched upped to 7f at Chester next time. Place possibilities off what looks a fair opening mark.

Forecasts
Haymaker (7/2), Ernie's Valentine (7/2), Robasta (9/2), Maybury (6/1), Flaming Rib (13/2), Bethersden Boy (13/2), Tyson (11/1), Marsh Benham (33/1)
ROBASTA's opening mark looks a potentially handy one, certainly judged on his third behind subsequent Group 2 winner Go Bears Go here in May. Though well held in the Windsor Castle last time, that can be forgiven and he gets the nod ahead of Ernie's Valentine, who also failed to make an impact in the Windsor Castle but looked promising on debut at Leicester. Haymaker is another to consider.
