11/2, promising third of 14 in maiden at Leicester (8.2f, good to firm) on belated debut 27 days ago. Has more to offer stepping up in trip, and this son of Tapit sets a good standard.

Golden Horn colt. Half-brother to 1¼m-12.4f winner Derevo and 7f winner Society Lion, both useful. One to take seriously on debut, and well worth a market check.

Forecasts

Night Hunter (8/15), Halic (4/1), Artemisia Lomi (5/1), Fantalope (11/1), Schwartz (22/1), Masterman (25/1), Orchestral (50/1), Kingmon's Boy (66/1), Special Directory (125/1), Owen Little (125/1), I'm Grateful (200/1), Poy (250/1)

Verdict

NIGHT HUNTER has taken a while to reach the racecourse but he shaped well amidst greenness when third over 1m at Leicester last month and he sets the bar high here if, as expected. building on that run now stepped up in trip. Both Artemisia Lomi and Halic hail from leading yards and look the part on paper though, so are much respected. especially if the market talks in their favour.

  1. NIGHT HUNTER (USA)
  2. ARTEMISIA LOMI (IRE)
  3. HALIC
